
Turned out to be a short night for the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers Thursday. UHA scored twice in the first 10 minutes and never looked back on their way to an 11-0 8th District win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons at Givens Field.
The match ended at the end of the opening half due to the 10-goal mercy rule.
Audrey Perry scored off an assist from Kendall Hancock just five minutes into the match to give the Lady Blazers a 1-0 lead. Audrey Grise took a pass from Hancock just three minutes later and it was 2-0.
After an own goal from the Lady Falcons, Grise scored on an assist from Perry at 22:00 to run it out to 4-0. Audrey Perry drilled a free kick moments later and it was 5-0.
Kendall Hancock picked up her third assist of the night at the 25:00 when she found Skylar Cantrell, who found the net to make it 6-0. Two minutes later Kate Lynn Gibson scored off an assist from Alyssa Grise to push the lead to 7-0.
Gracie Ausenbaugh scored three straight goals to make it a 10-0 UHA lead. Alyssa Grise finished out the scoring in the first half for the Lady Blazers giving them the 11-0 win.
UHA improves to 2-0 with the win and gets back to action Tuesday when they host Crittenden County in the 2nd Region All A Classic.
Fort Campbell starts the season at 0-1 and will travel to Lyon County on Monday.
