
The Hopkinsville Tigers had a ‘devil’ of a time on the pitch at the Stadium of Champions Monday evening. Owensboro had seven different players find the net as the Red Devils head back northward with an 8-0 win over the Tigers.
Owensboro took a 3-0 lead into the break and then blew the match open with five second-half goals.
Peter Saang scored twice for the Red Devils and added an assist. Emmanuel Lichi, Junior Rugama Lopez, Sang Thang, Robert Amsini, Denis Juma, and Kennedy Payne, all scored for Owensboro. Sang Thang added four assists for the Red Devils, who improved to 2-0 on the season.

The Tigers did get six shots on goal in the match, but Owensboro keepers Landon Black and Alex Carpenter combined to save all six attempts.
Hopkinsville falls to 1-3 on the season with the loss. The Tigers are back at it Tuesday when they travel to Mortons Gap to take on Hopkins Central.
