It was a sweep of the afternoon for the golfers at Hopkinsville High School Thursday at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club. Hoptown won the boys team competition and took medalist honors in both the boys and girls individual play.
In the boys team competition, Hopkinsville took first place with a team score of 158. University Heights finished in second place with a 169. Christian County was third at 203.
Hopkinsville’s Joey Falco took medalist honors with a round of 35. That was two shots better than his teammate Andrew Riggs and Wade Foster, from UHA, who tied for second with scores of 37.
There was no team competition on the girls’ side. Cate Blane took medalist honors for the day with a round of 37. That was two shots ahead of Conlee Lindsey, from University Heights, who finished her round with a 39.
