Tyson Cavinder gave Hopkinsville High School a top 20 finish at Saturday’s Christian County Season Opener cross country meet.
The Tiger freshman finished in 17th place as he ran the 3.1-mile course in 19:06. Cameron Ezell finished in 122nd place for Hopkinsville, who only sent two runners to the starting line.
Webster County’s Brice Nelson won the race with a time of 17:14, crossing the finish line nine seconds ahead of teammate Preston Glassco.
