Falcon Runners Take Third at Christian County Season Opener

The Fort Campbell Falcons’ cross country team finished in third place at Saturday’s Christian County season opener.

The Falcons were led by Jeffrey Perry who covered the 3.1 mile course on the campuses of Christian County High School and Hopkinsville Community College in a time of 18:05.

Webster County teammates Brice Nelson and Preston Glassco finished one-two in the race. Nelson’s time was 17:14, while Glassco ran 17:23. Seth Puraty finished in 20th place at 19:10, while sophomore Jayden Perry was 27th in 19:58.

Ryker Kramer finished 30the for the Falcons in 20:36, six seconds ahead of teammate John Arnold. Jackson Evans finished in 82nd place and Andy Cintron was 83rd.

The Falcons totaled 104 points to just miss second place by one point.

Webster County won the team title with 54 points and Dawson Springs was second with 103 points. The Falcons finished 18 points ahead of fourth-place Christian County.
