Todd County’s Noah Rager will get the chance to play in the All A Classic state golf tournament this year in Richmond. Rager won the chance, coming out on top of a four-way playoff Monday at the 4th Region All A Classic golf tournament at Dale Hollow Lake.
Monroe County won the team competition with a score of 161. Monroe tied with Cumberland County at 161, but with the tiebreaker of the 5th participating golfer’s score added in, Monroe County claimed the team title.
In the individual competition, Cumberland County’s Aiden Branham had the low round of the day with a 37. Jacob Ryan and Jaydon Netherton, of Monroe County, shot 38 and 39 respectively, but automatically qualified for state as a part of the region championship team.
Four other players also finished with scores of 39 to then tie for the second individual qualifying spot in the All A state tournament, Noah Rager and Hayden Strader, of Todd County Central, Ben Shirley, of Metcalfe County, and Khalin Walden, of Cumberland County.
The four then headed off into a playoff for the final regional slot at the state tournament. It took four holes, but Noah Rager would end up taking the spot in the All A Classic state golf tournament in Richmond.
