Lady Blazers Dispatch Fort Campbell to Advance in All A Regional

The University Heights Academy Lady Blazers took the first step Wednesday night towards making it back-to-back trips to the All A Classic state volleyball tournament. The Lady Blazers advanced to the 2nd Region All A semifinals with a straight-set win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons.

This match belonged to the Lady Blazers from the very start. UHA claimed the first set 25-7. The second set was more of the same, with the Lady Blazers taking the set 25-14 to go up two sets to none in the match.

University Heights then rolled to a 25-9 win in the third set to close out the match, as the Lady Blazers were never seriously threatened on the night.

Julia Thomas led the Lady Blazer attack at the net with 6 kills. Olivia Oakley added five kills while Claire Chewning finished with four. It was another big night for Sarah Peebles, who had 17 assists and four service aces.

Elinor Arnold led Fort Campbell with 4 blocks and two kills. Brielle Hart added four digs.

With the win, UHA improves to 9-1 on the season and advances to the All A regional semifinals, where they will take on Crittenden County Saturday morning at 10 at Fort Campbell. The second semifinal at 11 will have Heritage Christian taking on Livingston Central.

The regional championship match is set for Saturday at noon.
