It did not take long for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons to get going Monday evening at the Stadium of Champions. The Lady Maroons found the net just 45 seconds into their match against the Christian County Lady Colonels and kept their foot on the gas on the way to a 10-0 win.

Kailey Barber scored the opening goal and then assisted on scores by Madison Hill and Taylor Barber in the first eight minutes of the match as the Lady Maroons jumped out to the quick 3-0 lead.

Ella Knight headed in a shot off an indirect kick at 10:15. That was followed by Madison Hill scoring for the second time of the night at 13:30. Kailey Barber scored her second goal at 20:30 as the lead grew to 6-0.

Whitney Pendley scored off a rebound of her own shot at 31:00. The Lady Maroons added a goal that deflected off a Christian County defender at 35:30 to take an 8-0 lead at the break.

McKinley Wilson found the net just 30 seconds into the second half to run the lead to 9-0. Kailey Barber then completed her hat trick less than a minute later to end the match at 10-0.

The Lady Maroons controlled the match from the open, allowing the Lady Colonels just one shot for the match and keeping them in their own end of the field.

Christian County falls to 2-2 with the loss. They return to action Thursday when they host Mayfield.

Madisonville improves to 4-2 and will host crosstown rival Hopkins County Central Tuesday night.
