One of these nights, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels will end ‘that streak’ against the Logan County Lady Cougars on the volleyball court. Tuesday night was just not that night.
Led by the attacking play of junior Aubrey Sears and senior Whitney Christian, the Lady Cougars roared their way to a straight-set win over the Lady Rebels 25-15, 25-16, and 25-14.
Logan County controlled the flow of play much of the night. The Lady Cougars got off to an impressive start with the 25-15 win in the first set. The second set saw Logan County bolt out to a 5-1 lead and never look back on their way to the 25-16 win to go up two sets to none.

The Lady Rebels got off to their best start of the night in the third set, taking the early lead. But Logan County’s high-flying duo of Sears and Christian took over down the stretch and rallied the Lady Cougars to the 25-14 win to close out the match.
For the Lady Rebels, Lynnlee Jones led the way with six kills. Allyssa Wofford added five. Chloe Willis finished the night with six assists, while Shelby Holderman added five of her own.
With the loss, the Lady Rebels drop to 4-5 on the season overall and 2-1 in district play. Todd County Central is now off until next Tuesday when they host Franklin-Simpson in a 13th District contest.
