Rebels Make It Three Straight by Blanking Logan County

The Todd County Central Rebels are starting to get on a bit of a roll. The Rebels won their third straight match Thursday night by blitzing Logan County 10-0. The win moves Todd Central to 1-1 in 13th District play.

The Rebels got rolling early with Chi Herrera finding the net just 3 minutes into the match for an unassisted goal from just outside the top of the box giving Todd Central a 1-0 lead. At the 10-minute mark, Zack Robinson drove into the box and slipped a pass across to Charlie Campbell who put in the first of his two goals of the night.

The early onslaught continued 2 minutes later as Tanner Henderson found Zack Robinson at the near post to make it 3-0. Sixteen minutes in, one of the best plays of the night came when Chris Salazar found Zack Robinson in the box with a header, which Robinson then headed over to Charlie Campbell who struck it in on the back post for a 4-0 lead.

Six minutes later Tanner Henderson found John Ross Cardwell on the near post to make it 5-0. With 7 minutes left to play in the half, Henderson took things into his own hands and scored an unassisted goal to take things to halftime at 6-0.

The Rebels kept rolling coming out of the break. Thirteen seconds into the second half another great series found Ivan Lopez finding Chi Herrera on the wing who sent a perfect one-touch pass to Tanner Henderson, who delivered the score to make it 7-0.

Zack Robinson converted a PK at the 47-minute mark and just two minutes later Ivan Lopez hit a shot that was saved by the Logan keeper, however, the keeper could not corral the ball and Tanner Henderson was right there for the tap in and an 9-0 lead.

Ten minutes later, Zack Robinson found Cole Gilbert streaking into the box. The keeper got the initial save, but Gilbert followed his shot and was right there for the putback to end the game with the 10-0 win.

Todd Central moves to 5-3 with the district win. They are now off until next Thursday when they host Franklin-Simpson.
