Caldwell Rallies to Remain Perfect Against Livingston

The Caldwell County volleyball team is now 25-0 all-time against Livingston Central, but the Lady Tigers had to work for their latest win over the Lady Cardinals Thursday.

Caldwell had to rally from behind in the fifth set to defeat Livingston 3-2 at the CAB gym.

The final line was 25-10, 25-16, 19-25, 17-25, 15-12.

The Lady Tigers (3-4) appeared on their way to a quick night when they took the first two sets.

But Livingston (3-5) came back to take the third and fourth sets to force a deciding set in the matchup of former 5th District adversaries.

Caldwell got nine kills, four block and four aces from Brylee Butts in the win. Rylee Thompson added five kills, three blocks, 12 digs and four assists.

Kylee White totaled 23 assists to go with a block, four aces and three digs. Chevy McGowan had five kills and two digs.

Benashka Thomas recorded four kills and five blocks. Ellie Ramey had two kills and four digs while Anna Giltz had two kills and three digs.

Morgan Aikins had a kill and three digs. Mycah Riddle had four digs and two blocks.

T.J. Goodwin added seven digs and Maddie Cooper had four digs.

The Lady Tigers have a 7th District match coming up on Tuesday at Hopkins County Central.
