
After having their struggles coming out of the gate to start the season, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors are now on a winning streak. The Lady Warriors won their second straight match with a straight-set win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Thursday night.
The win for HCA came in the first-ever meeting between the two programs and gave the Lady Warriors their first-ever win as an official member of the KHSAA’s 8th District.
The Lady Warriors took the opening set of the night 25-20. The second set was their best of the night as HCA claimed a 25-16 win to go up two sets to none.
Heritage then closed out the match over the Lady Falcons by winning the third set 25-20.
HCA got strong performances from Hadlee Hayes, Makenzie McCarty, and Katie Cansler on their way to the win. Cansler had 12 kills and 3 aces. McCarty had 8 kills and 10 assists. Hayes added four kills, 12 assists, and three service aces.
Elinor Arnold led the Lady Falcons with five kills in the match. Amanda Kalili-Liusa added four. Emily Ramsey led Fort Campbell in assists with six. Olivia Voelkel chipped in with five service aces.
The Lady Warriors improve to 2-7 with the win, while the Lady Falcons drop to 1-5.
