The Christian County Lady Colonels found offense hard to come by Saturday morning as they got their day started in the Lady Colonel Showcase. Kirkwood controlled the flow of play from the very beginning of the match as the Lady Cobras took a 5-0 win at the Stadium of Champions.
Kirkwood’s defense allowed few shots for the Lady Colonels and kept the ball on their end of the field most of the match, forcing Christian County to stay in defensive mode most of the match.
The Lady Cobras broke open a scoreless tie with three goals in just over two minutes midway through the opening half.
Kirkwood would lead 4-0 at the break. The Lady Cobras would add one more goal in the second half to reach the final 5-0 margin.
