The offensive struggles continued Saturday for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons at the Lady Colonel Showcase at the Stadium of Champions. Hopkins County Central held the Lady Falcons without a shot on goal as they rumbled to a 10-0 win over Fort Campbell.
Five different Lady Storm players found the net in the first half of the match as Central took a 5-0 lead at the break. Elissa Adams, Ashdyn Dugger, Gracie Patterson, Emma Vandiver, and Lilly Armour all scored in the first 40 minutes of the match.
The Lady Storm then closed out the match with a five-goal blitz in the first 15 minutes of the second half to get to the 10-goal rule.
Hopkins Central’s defense simply shut down the Lady Falcons, rarely allowing them to cross the midfield line. The win was Central’s second consecutive shutout after opening the season with six straight losses.
