The North Hardin Lady Trojans began the week by scoring 23 goals in a half. While not nearly scoring that many, the Lady Trojans began their day Saturday with a double-digit scoring effort at the Stadium of Champions.

North Hardin put 10 goals on the board Saturday as they upended Trigg County 10-1 in the Lady Wildcats’ first game of the day in the Lady Colonel Showcase.

The Lady Trojans got two first-half goals from Olivia Maldonado as they built a 4-0 lead at the break.

Trigg County opened the second half by getting a goal from Leiah Hite on a long shot from the right-hand side to cut the lead to 4-1.

But North Hardin roared right back to score six unanswered goals to close out the match over the final 39 minutes. The North Hardin defense allowed the Lady Wildcats very few opportunities across the midfield line.

Madison Yates, who scored once in the opening half for North Hardin, got hot and scored four times in the second half as the Lady Trojans pulled away for the win.
