The offensive struggles continued for the Christian County Lady Colonels during their second match of the day Saturday in the Lady Colonels Showcase. After being held to just one goal during the opening match of the day against Kirkwood, the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm took it one step further in closing out the Lady Colonels day.
Central got three goals from Elissa Adams to lead the way as the Lady Storm cruised to a 10-0 win. Emma Vandiver, Jaci Childress, and Lilly Armour added two goals each for Hopkins Central.
Goalie Savannah Barnett, who did not have to stop a single shot in the Lady Storm’s win over Fort Campbell earlier in the day, had one save in the win over the Lady Colonels.
Christian County drops to 2-5 with the loss. The Lady Colonels are set to get back to action Monday in an 8th District match when they host University Heights at the Stadium of Champions at 5:30.
