
Caldwell County volleyball is 47-1 all-time against Hopkins County Central after sweeping three sets Tuesday night in Mortons Gap.
Each set was a little closer, though, as the Lady Tigers claimed a 25-17, 25-20, 26-24 decision.
Caldwell, now 4-4 overall and 2-0 in 7th District action, got 12 kills, a block, four aces and three digs from Brylee Butts.
Rylee Thompson added eight kills, 10 digs and an ace for Caldwell while Kylee White recorded 25 assists, four digs and an ace.
Ellie Ramey and Morgan Aikins had three kills each. Ramey added seven digs and two aces while Aikins had a block, four digs and an ace.
Benashka Thomas had two kills as the Lady Tigers recorded 28 kills as a team.
Madison Cooper had 11 digs and an assist. Mycah Riddle totaled six digs. Anna Giltz had four digs and an assist. T.J. Goodwin recorded two digs.
The Lady Storm is now 1-4 and 0-1.
The Lady Tigers have won the last 23 matchups with Hopkins Central. The Lady Storm’s only win over Caldwell came in the 2013 season.
Caldwell’s girls will play at home on Thursday against Heritage Christian Academy of Hopkinsville.
