On Tuesday, the Hopkinsville volleyball team picked up its second 8th-District win with a 3-0 shutout of hosts Fort Campbell.
The Lady Tigers completed a season sweep over the Lady Falcons, overcoming a slow start in the first set. Amy Toms jumpstarted the rally with a pair of aces to pave the way for a 26-24 victory.
The second set was also tight, with Hopkinsville battling through missed serves to win 25-23.
The Lady Tigers hit their stride in the third set behind a strong performance from Ajayla Shiraef. She scored the first four points of the set, finishing with eight kills to go with eight assists from Toms.
Hopkinsville finished the night with 19 aces, 17 kills, 14 assists, and 19 digs to improve to 3-4 with a visit from Hopkins County Central scheduled for Thursday.
The Lady Falcons fell to 1-6 and will entertain Kenwood, TN, on Wednesday.
