It was a brutally tough way for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels to lose Thursday night. After having the game rained out Tuesday night, the Lady Rebels hosted Franklin-Simpson in a big 13th District matchup in Elkton.
After playing more than 80 scoreless minutes, the Lady Rebels saw the Lady Wildcats scored 3:30 into the first ‘golden goal’ overtime to take a 1-0 win. It was the second down-to-the-wire battle this season for Todd Central and Franklin-Simpson.
Back on August 15, Todd County Central won on the Lady Wildcats’ home pitch in penalty kicks.

The Lady Rebels got a big game Thursday night from Darby Delph in goal. She finished the night with ten saves.
On the offensive end, the Lady Wildcats had to fight off a solid effort from Melanie Chamberlaine, who got off 13 shots on the night. Todd Central also got some good minutes from Ava Scott and Jaidyn Holland.
The loss drops the Lady Rebels to 3-4-1 on the year and 2-2 in 13th District play.
