
The Christian County girls’ soccer team made a single goal stand up on Thursday at Fort Campbell to pick up its first 8th-District victory of the season.
The Lady Colonels snapped a five-game skid with Carliah Hobson providing the only goal to hand the Lady Falcons their fourth-straight defeat.
Goalkeeper Jayda Turner made seven saves to notch the Lady Colonels’ first shutout of the season and run their record to 3-6.
Christian County’s midfield, anchored by Cayleigh Clay and Carlie Hobson, controlled the game to limit Fort Campbell’s scoring chances.
The Lady Falcons slipped to 1-6 and will travel to Logan County on Saturday.
