It was a dominant performance from the Todd County Central Rebels defense Friday night. The Rebels allowed only two first downs for the night as they thundered past Stewart County 43-0.
Not only was the Rebel defense an issue for Stewart County, but that was complicated even more when Stewart County’s quarterback was ejected following a play about midway through the opening quarter. Down to their backup quarterback and with the Todd Central defense in high gear, the Rebels from south of the state line simply had no chance.
While the Todd Central offense did not put up huge numbers, the Rebels were quite efficient with what they were able to get done.

Todd Central got on the board on its opening possession when Miles Reding hooked up with B.J. Farlow for a 19 yard touchdown pass to make it 7-0 with still 8:36 to go in the opening quarter.
Freshman running back Quinton Grace put up the next couple of scores for the Rebels. He ran one in from 7 yards out with 4:17 to go in the first and then from 8 yards out with 7:08 to go in the second. The second score ran the Todd County Central lead out to 21-0.
Todd Central found the end zone again late in the half when Reding and Farlow connected again, this time from 27 yards out and the score at the break was 28-0.
The Rebels took the opening possession of the second half and promptly drove right down the field. Ricky Woodard took it the last yard of the way and when Kamari Harris scored the two point conversion, the Rebels were up 36-0 with 8:38 to go in the third and the rest of the game played out quickly under the running clock rules.

Todd Central would add a late score in the game when Travis Eadens punched it in from one yard out with 2:06 left in the game.
The Todd County Central defense controlled the game from the very beginning. Allowing just 32 yard rushing and 13 passing. Stewart County was also its own worst enemy, being flagged 10 times for 74 yards and turning the ball over twice.
Todd County Central finished with 151 yards rushing and 125 yards passing, along with 13 first downs for the night.
Quinton Grace rushed 13 times for 73 yards and two touchdowns to lead the ground attack.
Miles Reding was 7 of 16 through the air for 125 yards and two touchdowns, both to B.J. Farlow.
The Rebels did struggle with penalties again. Todd Central was hit with eight flags for 80 yards.
Todd County Central improves to 2-2 with the win. The Rebels go back on the road next week as they travel to Calhoun to take on the McLean County Cougars.
