Conlee Lindsey’s goal for the All A Classic State Golf Tournament coming in was a top-five finish – two spots better than last year’s round.
The University Heights Academy junior bested that with a third place finish, helping the Lady Blazers to a third place team finish – program bests for both an individual and a team at UHA.
Lindsey shot a 7-over-par 79 at Richmond’s Arlington Golf Club Course. She finished 11 shots behind Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson, who blistered the course to the tune of a 4-under-par 68 to repeat as All A state champion.
C.A. Carter of Lexington Christian, who has committed to the University of Kentucky, was second after shooting a 3-over-par 75.
Lindsey started her day strong with birdies on two of her first four holes. A double bogey on No. 8 saw her front nine score slip to 2-over.
She played the back nine at 41 to close out her round.

Eighth-grader Allie Sandifer shook off a slow start to card a 104, improving 16 shots from her 2022 round at All A State.
Eighth-grader Campbell Lindsey shot a 106 with a pair of pars as part of her round that shaved 21 shots off of her 2022 finish in Richmond.
Junior Ava Roberts carded a career-best round of 109, which was a 16-shot improvement on the same course last year.
Eighth grader Caroline Tucker, playing in her first All A Classic state tournament, shot a 120.
The Lady Blazers’ team score of 398 was just one shot shy of second place Cumberland County.
Lexington Christian won its 7th straight All A Classic state championship with a team score of 325.
