Owensboro Catholic senior Brody Martin scored five goals Monday as his Aces captured a 7-1 soccer victory at Lyon County.

Martin had a pair of first-half tallies to help Owensboro Catholic build a 3-0 halftime advantage.

Lyon (2-8-1) got within 3-1 in the 55th minute when Deven Guess stole a pass from the Aces goalkeeper and scored from inside the box.

But the Lyons could not ride that momentum.

Instead, Owensboro Catholic (6-5) got goals from Martin in the 62nd and 63rd minute to regain command 5-1.

Martin later added another score on a penalty kick as the Aces put the match away.

Owen Brey and Sam Brauer also scored goals for the visitors.

Jackson Crawford made 13 stops in the Lyon net, but Owensboro Catholic outshot the Lyons 31-5.

Lyon will play at home again on Thursday against Paducah Tilghman.
