The Caldwell County Tiger golf team honored its two seniors pre-match, then went out and beat Hopkins County Central on the course Tuesday afternoon at Princeton Golf Club.
Seniors Ryan Hammett and Carter Whittington were recognized along with their parents in a ceremony on the first tee before the match.
Caldwell then outshot Hopkins Central 210-245 (top five scores).
Birthday boy Collin Whittington celebrated by claiming medalist honors with a 1-over-par 37 on holes 1 and 11-18.
Scott Cortner had a 3-over 39.
Hammett and Cole Wyatt each shot rounds of 44 for the Tigers.
Carter Whittington had a 46 as Caldwell won for the second straight day on its home course.
The boys’ 1st Region golf tournament is set for next Tuesday at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter.
