Lyon County’s Alice Smith banged in eight goals in Monday’s 10-0 victory over Webster County, taking her season total to 34, with over a third of those coming at the expense of the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Lyons stopped a two-game slide to improve to 6-4-1 ahead of a visit from Mayfield on Tuesday. The win is Lyon’s sixth straight in the series and sends Webster County to its fourth defeat in a row.
Anna White scored twice to take her season total to 14. White and Olivia Adams provided assists to remain tied for the team lead with six.
Lyon County’s Anna Crawford notched an assist, and Richmond Herring made two saves to earn her third shutout of the season.
Davanne McLean did her best to keep the Lady Trojans in the game with 25 saves.
