Even before the Christian County Lady Colonels won the silver bracket of the Adair County Volleyball Classic over the weekend, freshman Peyton Owens had the feeling the team was starting to click.
Despite a five-set loss to Union County on Monday, Christian County’s record stands at 9-4 which has them ranked No. 3 in the region RPI rankings released by the KHSAA on Tuesday.
In five matches Saturday, Owens had 18 aces, 25 assists, and 23 digs as the Lady Colonels won three of five matches.
After moving to 4-1 in district play after a win over Heritage Christian Academy, Owens discussed her role and where she thinks the Lady Colonels are in terms of putting it together.
