The Heritage Christian Academy volleyball team put a three-game skid in the rearview mirror on Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over hosts Fort Campbell. The Lady Warriors completed a season sweep of the Lady Falcons without dropping a set.
A 5-1 spurt to start the opener set the tone for the Lady Warriors, although Fort Campbell battled back to tie it at 12-12 after a kill by D’Lyla Melton.
HCA responded with a 9-1 run, including two kills and a pair of aces for Bralee Fowler, to take control on the way to a 25-17 victory.
The Lady Warriors rolled in the second, scoring seven of the first eight points. Makenzie McCarty had four of her nine kills down the stretch and closed the set with an ace for a 25-7 win.
Fort Campbell took its first and only lead at 2-0 in the third set, but HCA answered with a 12-4 run to end any hope of a Lady Falcon comeback. Katie Cansler had a block and ended the match with an ace for the last points of a 25-14 result.
Hayes finished with four kills, 12 assists, and five digs for the Lady Warriors, and McCarty added nine kills, four aces, and six assists.
