
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats remained unbeaten in district play with an 8-2 win over Crittenden County Tuesday.
Lania Hite had four goals and assisted on two others as the Lady Wildcats won their third straight match.
Hite scored the first two goals of the match, and senior Avery Ethridge scored her first career goal as Trigg built a 3-0 lead by halftime.
Hite scored three more goals in the second half to run her season total to 31. Addison Humphries and Leiah Hite also tallied scores in the second half with Hite adding four assists to her scoresheet.
Hallie Joiner and Brooke Humphries also had assists.
Crittenden County’s goals came from Ella Geary – her 12th of the year and from Elizabeth Campbell – her 18th goal. The tandem has scored 30 of Crittenden’s 34 goals this season.
Trigg County improved to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the district with its 18th straight win over the Lady Rockets. Trigg will play at Kirkwood in Clarksville on Thursday.
Crittenden County (5-4) hosts Lyon County Thursday.
