The Trigg County Lady Wildcats put up a fight Thursday night but came up just short of their first volleyball win since September 24 of last year. The Lady Wildcats were handed a sweep on their home court, but the term ‘sweep’ does not give true indication as to just how close the match was played out.

The Lady Falcons took the opening set of the night but had to go extra to do it. Fort Campbell won the first 26-24 and the battle for the night was on.

The second set was more of the same, with the Lady Wildcats pushing the Lady Falcons to the limit. But again, it was Fort Campbell coming out on top 25-21 to go up two sets to none.

Nothing changed in the third set as the Lady Wildcats and the Lady Falcons battled back and forth. It would ultimately be Fort Campbell claiming the set and the match with a 25-22 win.

The Lady Falcons improve to 2-8 with the win, while the Lady Wildcats drop to 0-10 with the loss.
