
Calloway County’s Raylee McClure scored with just 4 minutes left to deal Caldwell County’s girls a 2-1 soccer setback Thursday night at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
The Lady Tigers earned three corner kicks in the final minute and had a header hit off the crossbar in an attempt to tie the match.
Caldwell (5-7) grabbed an early lead on a goal by Kinlee Rowland, but was held scoreless the rest of the night.
Calloway (8-4) tied things in the 14th minute when McClure sent a crossing pass across the front of the net and Finley Lencki finished on the other side.
Grace Barnes recorded 12 saves for the Lady Lakers.
Caldwell’s girls will play again on Tuesday when they travel to Paducah St. Mary as part of a girls and boys doubleheader.
