The Owensboro Catholic tandem of Allie Marston and Virginia Young proved to be too much for Todd County Central to tame at Saturday’s All A Classic sectional contest in Elkton.
The duo combined for five goals and five assists to power the Lady Aces past Todd County Central 10-0 in a match called in the 46th minute due to the mercy rule.
Marston, a freshman, scored four first half goals as the Lady Aces peppered the net for seven goals in the match’s first 27 minutes.
Young assisted on all four of Marston’s goals and added a tally herself in the first half.
Owensboro Catholic (10-3) also got goals from Elizabeth Hayden, Carly Murphy, and Jahaira Ward. Chloe Marston’s goal off a corner kick seven minutes into the second half ended the match.
Todd County Central (6-5-1) has a district match on the road Tuesday at Logan County.
