
The Christian County girls; soccer team needed less than an hour on Monday to dispatch hosts McLean County, with four Lady Colonels each scoring twice on the way to a 10-0 victory.
The win is the second straight and fourth in six outings for the Lady Colonels. They improved to 6-8, already the program’s most victories in five seasons.
Alayah Lander’s brace took her goal total to a team-high 11. Carliah Hobson and Cayleigh Clay each scored twice, Carlie Hobson opened her varsity account, and freshman Jayleigh Campbell found the net for the first and second times in her career.
Jayda Turner and Campbell combined in goal to earn the Lady Colonels’ third shutout in five matches.
Christian County will be back in action on Wednesday when Trigg County visits the Stadium of Champions. The Lady Colonels have won the last three in the series, with the last coming in 2021.
