Like her brother a day before, Lyon County’s Lilly Perry has qualified for the State First Round Golf Tournament next week.

Lilly Perry will play at Calvert City Country Club on Monday while Travis Perry will play on the same course on Tuesday as the siblings look to advance to the State Final Rounds next month in Bowling Green.

Lilly Perry led the Lady Lyons with a 92 in the girls’ 1st Region Golf Tournament on Wednesday at Paxton Park in Paducah. That was good enough to advance her to the next round.

Other scores for Lyon included a 101 for Jenna Coursey, a 103 for Gracen Wynn and a 106 for Brenna Breitrick.

McCracken County’s Sophie Hollowell was medalist with the only under-par round of the day — a 2-under 69.

Marshall County’s Trinity Beth — the defending state champion — was runner-up with a 74, helping the Lady Marshals win the team championship with a total score of 310.

Mayfield was runner-up at 367, edging McCracken, which placed third with a 369.
