Rebels’ Roll Continues With Shutout of Logan County

When the Todd County Central boys’ soccer team heads to Frankfort on Saturday to face Louisville Collegiate in the All-A state tournament, the Rebels will be riding the momentum of a ten-game winning streak after a shutout of hosts Logan County on Tuesday.

The Rebels improved to 12-3, 5-1 against 13th-District competition, and earned their sixth shutout of the season.  Logan County slipped to 4-10 with its fourth loss in a row.

Todd Central spread the scoring around on Tuesday, with five players notching goals and Ivan Lopez to lone Rebel to score twice.

Tyler Baker, John Ross Cardwell, and Trey Osborne each found the back of the net, and Charlie Campbell added a goal and an assist to reach double-figure scoring for the season.

Aaron Mansfield and Brett Harris each provided an assist, and Chris Salazar set up three goals to take his team-high total to 12.

Ric Garcia-Sears made four saves to preserve the Rebels’ clean sheet.
