The Christian County volleyball team picked up its fifth 8th-District victory on Thursday at Fort Campbell, knocking off the Lady Falcons 3-0.
The Lady Colonels improved to 11-5 ahead of a trip to Ohio County on Saturday. Fort Campbell slipped to 2-0, 0-6 in district play, and hasn’t beaten Christian County in 13 years.
A 25-19 victory in the opening set sent the Lady Colonels on their way, followed by a hard-fought 25-23 win to go up 2-0. Christian County powered through the third set for a 25-14 decision to wrap up the match.
The Lady Falcons have a busy weekend coming up at wRECk @ the Plex in Hopkinsville. Their Saturday schedule includes matches with Todd County Central, Caldwell County, and Henderson County.
