A big-time performance from their 7th grade standout led the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons over the weekend at the Marshall County Invitational, one of the top cross country meets in the area. The Lady Falcons finished with 215 points, which placed them 10th in the girls’ team competition.
Father Ryan High School was a ‘runaway’ winner in the team competition, taking first place with 30 points. Marshall County was a distant second with 105 points.
Individually, Emmie Underwood took 4th place with a time of 20:34.32 to lead the Lady Falcons. Her time placed her second among Kentucky runners in the race, behind Marshall County’s Addison Lyles. More than 120 runners took part in the girls’ meet.
Brice Nelson, of Father Ryan, finished first at 18:37.69. Her teammate, Maggie Slattery, was second.
