
After a rough start to the season, Heritage Christian Academy’s roster of underclassmen has fought through a rough patch and appears to be playing its best volleyball at the right time.
The Lady Warriors defeated Foundation Christian Academy Monday in Bowling Green 25-20, 23-25, 25-15. HCA opened the season with seven straight losses – one of those to Foundation.
On Monday, Katie Cansler had 11 kills, six aces, and four digs to lead the Lady Warriors. Hadlee Hayes added five kills, seven assists, and eight digs.
Makenzie McCarty had three kills and eight assists, and Bralee Fowler had three kills and four digs.
Over the weekend, HCA won three of five matches at the wRECk at the Plex, claiming three-set wins over Caldwell County and defending region champion Madisonville.
The Lady Warriors are 8-6 over their last 14 matches and have a season record of 10-16. HCA will play Todd County Central at home on Tuesday and play at Madisonville on Thursday.
