University Heights Academy junior Conlee Lindsey is headed back to the State Final Rounds at Bowling Green Country Club.
Lindsey earned her spot after shooting a 7-over-par 79 in State First Round action on Monday at Calvert City Country Club.
Lindsey started on the back nine and shot a 3-over 39 on that side. She then carded a 4-over 40 on the front nine to finish her round.
The Lady Blazer golfer tied for ninth in the State First Round.
Defending state champion Trinity Beth of Marshall County was medalist on Monday, carding a 2-under 70 on the Lady Marshals’ home course.
Madisonville-North Hopkins golfer Karra Tucker, the 2nd Region champion last week, was runner-up with an even-par 72.
Sophie Hollowell of McCracken County, the 1st Region champ, tied for fifth with a 5-over 77.
The 2023 Leachman Buick•GMC•Cadillac/KHSAA Girls’ Golf State Final Rounds presented by UK HealthCare will be contested Oct. 3-4 in Bowling Green.
