A pair of goals inside the first four minutes on Tuesday started the visiting Marshall County Marshals on their way to a 6-1 victory over University Heights Academy at Givens Field.

Lincoln Colburn put the Marshals on top with a header off an assist by Logan Parker just a minute and a half into the game, and it was 2-0 just two minutes later.

With 17:10 left in the half, Cohen McLeod added a goal to send Marshall County to a 3-0 lead at the break.

Scoring opportunities were in short supply for the Blazers, but they looked to have climbed back into the match when Logan Miller finished from close range to make it 3-1 after Griffin McCoy got behind the Marshall defense and played a ball across.

However, the Marshals answered with a fourth goal just 90 seconds later to kill any Blazer momentum and restore the three-goal cushion.  With 28 minutes left, Tommy Robertson scored with a shot from 12 yards out, and Jeremy Jaco found the back of the net with 17:30 left to cap the scoring.

UHA freshman goalkeeper Hayden Fitzsimmons made five saves in his first start of the season.  The Blazers slipped to 9-8-1 and will wrap up the regular season on Thursday with a visit from Mayfield.
