A standout on both the volleyball court and in the classroom, involved in her school community, and a young lady who appears to very much know her way around the farm, all those add up to a great Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’ That would be Todd County Central’s Lynnlee Jones.

Lynnlee is the senior leader of this year’s Lady Rebels volleyball team. She is second on the team in kills, first in blocks, and second in service aces. She has been a big part of the success over the past few seasons of the Lady Rebel volleyball program, but there is much more to this outstanding young lady than just what she accomplishes on the court.

Lynnlee is also a standout when it comes to her classes. She has had all A’s and B’s in high school and is currently in possession of a 3.9 GPA. Additionally, she is taking dual credit classes through Hopkinsville Community College.

She is involved in Beta at Todd County Central. Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, which for more than 80 years, has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. Beta’s goal is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Lynnlee is also a member of the National Honor Society at Todd County Central High School. The National Honor Society is an organization dedicated to recognizing and encouraging outstanding high school students in grades 10-12. Founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, it was the first nationwide honor society and now has chapters in all 50 states.

She is also involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Lynnlee is a member of the Todd County Central FFA. She has formerly served as a committee chair. She has also been a part of dairy judging at Murray State University and drives in the annual ‘Tractor Day’ every year.

Speaking of agriculture, Lynnlee works on her family farm daily as her co-op job. Lynnlee says she leaves school each day at 11:45 and works until time for volleyball practice. She also has worked on the farm during the summers learning everything she can about the farm from her grandfather. And she does mean learn everything. Lynnlee knows about farm life, things like harvesting wheat, corn, and soybeans, checking on momma cows, heifers, and new calves, and working on equipment during the ‘down’ seasons.

Lynnlee shows steers through her involvement in 4-H. That involves raising and working with the steers. Beginning in November or December and running until May, when she shows the steers at an arena in Montgomery County.

And with all of this, Lynnlee is active with her faith. She is involved with a youth group at Bellview Baptist Church.

A young lady who is a great example, not just for her peers and those who are younger, but for all of us. And one who appears to be in a prime position to be a leader for tomorrow. That is this week’s Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A’, Todd County Central’s Lynnlee Jones.
