
The Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team completed an undefeated regular-season run through the 7th District with a 3-1 victory over Hopkins County Central Thursday night at the CAB gym.
Caldwell dropped the first set, but came back to claim a 15-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 victory to improve to 10-10 overall and 4-0 in district play.
Benashka Thomas had 14 kills, two blocks and two digs as the Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Storm for the 24th straight time to improve to 48-1 in the all-time series.
Rylee Thompson had nine kills and 16 digs for the Lady Tigers while Brylee Butts recorded seven kills, two blocks and seven digs.
Ellie Ramey added five kills and six digs. Morgan Aikins tallied three kills and five digs.
Kylee White had 35 assists, a block and five digs. T.J. Goodwin tallied five digs and four aces.
Maddie Cooper had 29 digs while Mycah Riddle had 11 digs. Anna Giltz had four digs.
Hopkins Central is now 4-11 and 0-3.
Caldwell will be the No. 1 seed when the 7th District tournament is played in just over two weeks.
The Lady Tigers will play in the Quad State event in Paducah on Friday and Saturday. That tournament is scheduled to include 25 teams.
