
The University Heights Academy Lady Blazers wrapped up its regular season with a 10-0 win over Mayfield on Senior Night at Givens Field.
It was UHA’s fourth mercy rule win of the season and sends the Lady Blazers into next week’s district tournament as the top seed with a record of 14-2-1.
UHA scored eight first half goals including three in a three-minute stretch of the first half.
Audrey Grise celebrated senior night with a hat trick and an assist. Her first goal in the match’s opening minute was her 50th career goal.
Audrey Perry added two goals and assisted on three others, raising her total to a team-high 23 assists.
Freshman Kendall Hancock scored two goals to add to her team lead to 33.
Skylar Cantrell, Gracie Ausenbaugh, and Ajae Oatts also added to the scoring column for the Lady Blazers, who won their ninth straight match against Mayfield (3-13) – the last five coming by 10-0 scores.
Freshman Kate Gibson ended the game with 25 minutes left with her fourth goal of the season.
The Lady Blazers will play Fort Campbell in the district semifinals Tuesday at the Stadium of Champions. UHA beat the Lady Falcons 11-0 on August 10 in their only regular-season meeting.
