The Caldwell County Lady Tiger soccer team has assured itself of a winning record this season.
Keegan Miller scored five goals Thursday night as the Lady Tigers rolled to a 9-2 victory at Union County that was a late addition to the Caldwell schedule.
Miller had a pair of goals in the first half — one off a corner kick from Lexie Sullivan midway through the half — as Caldwell built a 4-1 lead at the break.
Union (2-15) actually took a 1-0 lead in the contest before the Lady Tigers scored the next four goals.
Addie Cagle tied the game, scoring off a header on a corner kick from Sullivan in the 17th minute.
Kinlee Rowland scored late in the first half to make it 4-1 at halftime.
Miller scored three times in the second half, with Rowland picking up an assist on the last goal of the night.
Hannah Teutsch had a goal and then later assisted on Cagle’s second tally of the night.
Union got goals from Rylie Johnson and Magen Trowbridge while Raegan Blackburn had an assist.
Caldwell, which shut out Union 9-0 earlier this season, is now 14-0 all-time against the Bravettes.
The Lady Tigers will carry a 9-7 record into postseason play.
Caldwell’s girls will face Hopkins County Central at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in semifinal action in Mortons Gap.
