
The Bowling Green Purples found the endzone of two of their first five offensive plays on Friday on their way to a 55-0 victory over visiting Christian County.
The Purples won their fourth straight to improve to 5-2, with each of the last four coming by way of a running clock.
Bowling Green needed less than 24 minutes to set the clock running on Friday, leading 21-0 after the first quarter and taking a 48-0 cushion into halftime.
Playing without senior quarterback Jordan Miles, the Colonels slipped to 2-4 with district play beginning next week with a visit from Daviess County. The Colonels have won all four previous meetings against the Panthers, with the last coming in 2004.
District matchups with McCracken County and Henderson County follow before a visit from Mayfield in the regular-season finale.
