After dropping a heart-breaking overtime decision in the 13th District championship match last season, the Todd County Central Rebels have their sights set on the championship this season as this year’s tournament gets under. Action begins Monday evening at Logan County High School.
The Rebels are looking for their first 13th District title since 2012. Franklin-Simpson has won the last three district championships.
Boys play begins Monday night as the Rebels take on Logan County on the Cougars home field at 7pm. Todd Central swept the two meetings between the teams this season, winning 10-0 and 6-0.
The second semifinal will be played Tuesday night as Franklin-Simpson will battle Russellville. The Wildcats beat the Panthers twice during the regular season, winning 9-1 and 8-0.
The 13th District boys’ championship match will be played Thursday evening at 7:30 at Logan County.
