With the postseason just a couple of weeks away, the Caldwell County Lady Tigers took part in their final regular season volleyball tournament over the weekend. The Lady Tigers were in Paducah for the annual Quad State Tournament.
Caldwell County got things started by splitting a pair of matches Friday evening. The Lady Tigers got a straight-set win over Christian Fellowship (25-20, 25-18) and then dropped a two-set match to Great Crossing (25-13, 25-6).
The Lady Tigers got back on the court Saturday and dropped straight-set decisions to Dyersburg (25-16, 25-7) and Todd County Central (25-17, 25-20). Caldwell County closed out their appearance in the tournament losing a tough three-set battle with Bullitt Central. The Lady Tigers won the opening set 25-19 before losing the next two 25-20 and 15-12.
With the results of the weekend, Caldwell County stands at 11-14. The Lady Tigers are back in action Tuesday on the road at Webster County.
