Cavinder Continues to Take Times Lower for Hoptown

Tyson Cavinder led the Hopkinsville cross country runners at Saturday’s Daviess County Classic in Owensboro.

The Tiger freshman covered the 3.1-mile course in a personal best time of 18:00, which was good for a 60th-place finish.

DeAvery Ramey was 128th in 19:13 with Kentrell Adams running the course in 19:46 and finishing 159th.

Nicholas Herrera was 311th in 24:17 and Cameron Ezell was 328th in 26:47.

John Hardin’s Brendan Nagle won the race in a time of 15:36 at Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park in 18:16. The course will be the site of the Region 1 meet in all three classes on October 21.

As a team, Hopkinsville finished in 27th place.
