The Hopkinsville girls cross country team ran to a 13th-place finish at Saturday’s Daviess County Classic.
Lauren Mayes led the Lady Tigers with a 56th place finish in 22:26. Alexis Herrera-Loveto was the second Lady Tiger across the line in 64th place in 22:39. Kaydon Coats was 74th in 22:58, followed by Rebecca Wood in 99th (23:42) and Evelyn Bangart in 153rd (25:39).
For Coats, Wood, and Bangart, their times were a season-best.
Ohio County’s Morgan Kobylinski won the race, covering the 3.1-mile course at Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park in 18:16. The course will be the site of the Region 1 meet in all three classes on October 21.
