Underwood Equals Fort Campbell School Record at Daviess Classic

Fort Campbell’s Emmie Underwood continues to etch her name into the Fort Campbell cross country record book.

The seventh grader finished in second place at Saturday’s Daviess County Classic with a time of 19:02, tying the school mark set by Charis Botelho in 2001.

Ohio County’s Morgan Kobylinski won the race, covering the 3.1-mile course at Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park in 18:16. The course will be the site of the Region 1 meet in all three classes on October 21.

As a team, the Lady Falcons finished in 17^th place out of 22 teams.

Makayla Finn finished in 80^th place in 23:03, followed by Ava Roberts in 112^th in 24:02. Sophia McDonald was 165^th and Sophia Thompson crossed the line in 183^rd place.
