A senior member of the Christian County baseball team has made his college choice. Bobby Irving announced via social media that he would continue his baseball and educational career at Shawnee Community College.
Irving, who has been the starting catcher for the Colonels, has developed into one of the top players behind the plate in the 2nd Region. Solid at handling the Colonel pitching staff, with a strong and accurate arm at throwing out runners on the basepaths.
At the plate, he had 18 hits and 10 RBIs last season. He had three doubles and drew 21 walks.
During Christian County’s regional championship run in 2022, Irving had 19 hits and 22 RBIs.
